• Technical information:
1. The length of the route along the Borzhava mountain pass (from the Volovetsky Pass through the Velikiy Verkh mountain to the Shipit waterfall) is 12 km;
2. Approximate duration of the crossing of the Borzhava valleys (from the Volovetsky Pass through the Velikiy Verkh mountain to the Shipit waterfall) is 5-6 hours;
3. The height difference during the ascent is 870 meters, the height difference during the descent is 820 meters;
4. The route is designed for an average group of physically healthy people;
5. The Borzhav excursion is of medium difficulty and does not require prior training or experience, but those who doubt their own abilities are advised to start with easier routes (for example, climbing Kamula, Lviv Mountains, Makivka, Putishche, Pikuy);
6. It is strictly forbidden to drink alcohol during ascent and descent.

For the trip, you must have with you:

– a document certifying your identity (passport);
– comfortable waterproof shoes (preferably mountain trekking boots with high lacing and a “vibram” type protector);
– a windproof jacket with a hood, preferably waterproof, windproof pants that do not hinder movement, a warm sweater or a “fleece” type jacket, headgear (hat, bandana), raincoat;
– a spare set of clothes (can be left on the bus);
– shoulder bag (backpack);
– water (1–1.5 liters per person);
– food for snacks during the ascent (sandwiches, chocolate, a thermos with hot tea or coffee);
