1) Hike along the Borzhavsky ridge

A hike along a scenic and easily accessible route along the Borzhavsky ridge, which begins with a chairlift to the foot of Mount Hymba. Then we go along the relatively flat sections of the ridge along the route Khimba – Velikiy Verkh – Ryapetska – descent to Volovetsky Pass.

2) Hike to Pikuy

The highest peak of the Lviv region (1408 m.), from which one of the most beautiful panoramas of the Ukrainian Carpathians opens. You will be enchanted by the view of Polonyna Runa, the Borzhavsky Range and the Beskydy Mountains.

” Dovbush Rocks. They lie at an altitude of 668 meters above sea level. The height of the rocks reaches from 20 to 60 meters. Three caves are hollowed out in the rocks, there are remains of a stone vault, there are traces of a well, a rampart and a moat. It is known that these caves were previously used as a rock monastery, and later had a defensive value.

Borzhava’s polony:

1. The length of the Borzhava mountain pass route (from the top of the cable car to the Volovetsky Pass) is 12 km;
2. Approximate duration of the crossing of the Borzhava valleys (from the top of the cable car to the Volovetsky Pass) is 5-6 hours;
3. The height difference during the ascent is 450 meters, the height difference during the descent is 870 meters;
4. The route is designed for an average group of physically healthy people;
5. The Borzhava excursion is of medium difficulty and does not require prior training or experience.
6. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited during ascent and descent.

Mount Pikuy:

1. The length of the route to the top of Pikuy and back is 16 km, the height difference is 800 meters;
2. The ascent to the mountain lasts approximately 2-3 hours, the descent approximately 1.5-2 hours;
3. The route is designed for an average group of physically healthy people;
4. Participation in the excursion does not require prior training or experience;
5. It is strictly forbidden to drink alcohol during ascent and descent.

What to take with you on a hiking trip:

– comfortable waterproof shoes (preferably mountain trekking boots with high lacing and a “vibram” type protector);
– a windproof jacket with a hood, preferably waterproof, windproof pants that do not hinder movement, a warm sweater or a “fleece” type jacket, a warm knitted hat, a hat, a raincoat;
– sunscreen:
– a spare set of clothes (can be left on the bus);
– shoulder bag (backpack);
– water (1–1.5 liters per person);
– food for snacks during the ascent (sandwiches, chocolate, a thermos with hot tea or coffee);
– necessary medicines (individual first-aid kit) that you use, adhesive plaster.
