Galician National Park and Museum of Nature

The Galician National Natural Park is a biologically and landscapeally diverse formation on the territory of 14,684.8 hectares. Here you can find plants and animals that are representatives of the Red Book of Ukraine, the European Red List and more than a hundred species of fauna that are under the protection of the Berne Convention. There is also a natural museum here. The exposition is presented on an area of 80 m2. The most interesting exhibit is the forest ecosystem recreated in three dioramas.

Wild Animal Rehabilitation Center in Galich

The rehabilitation center operates in the Galician National Natural Park. It was created in order to help sick and crippled animals “get back on their feet.” They are then returned to their natural environment. Many residents are brought here, saving them from people who kept them in captivity without the right to such actions.

Museum of Roman Kumlik in Verkhovyna

This is a private museum in the family house of a collector of musical instruments and old Hutsul clothes, household items. Here you can see the horn – an old “mobile phone”, trembita, which was used in carols, national costumes. However, the most interesting collection of musical instruments, among which are a rectangular violin, cymbals, a diaper, and others. The museum will talk about each of them and even let you play.

Verkhovyna – Museum “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”

Museum that tells about the film of the same name. It is located in the village. Verkhovyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the house where director Sergei Paradzhanov lived during the filming of the legendary “Shadows”. Other members of the film crew also visited here. Today in the museum you can see the clothes that the actors were wearing during the filming, household items. Here you can watch the movie and see the photo. And there are other expositions that tell about the color of the Hutsul region.

Hut-stay museum

This is nothing more than a unique cheese factory, where authentic recipes and strict rules for making natural cheese are kept. Everyone here knows about this product. In addition, in the museum you can attend a master class and cook banosh with goat cheese, or listen to drymba and try your hand at weaving.
